How your waste becomes energy
Visitors learn this and more on the 90-minute tour of Switzerland’s most modern waste incineration plant. As a surprising form of interaction, the incinerator repeatedly announces itself – with text image projections – and thus supports the guide in conveying the stories about energy generation.
How electricity is produced
The tour ends with a visit to the turbine house – this is where electricity is generated from steam. The guests stand on a grandstand above the large steam turbine and the high-power electric generator. The film and light animations in the hall are the final highlight of the tour.
What really fascinated me was the calculator that converted the waste bag I brought with me into «mobile phone charges»!
